Meet the Team
Justin started work at Firth & Scott in 1986 as an Apprentice on a Government sponsored Youth Training Scheme. Having started at the bottom of the ladder, over the years he has worked his way through every position in the company, including supervising roles, management roles at different offices, and then to the Board of Directors. Currently as Managing Director he is responsible for the running of the Insurance Broking Company.
Starting in the Personal Lines Department, Justin initially dealt with private motor insurance, home insurance, travel insurance and income protection policies. When he had spent enough years within this role to become proficient in this area, he was promoted to deal with Commercial Insurance, dealing with businesses both local and countrywide. This is now considered to be Justin’s specialist area, and he enjoys working with up and coming businesses as well as the well established. By “looking out of the box” Justin is able to ensure all areas are properly covered and recommending improvements and options. Commercial combined insurance, shop packages, office package, liability, professional indemnity and all forms of commercial motor, including fleet all fall within Justin’s remit and he is always more than happy to visit businesses to understand their trade, how they work and provide that personal touch.
Justin’s accomplishments have always been recognised at the company and he enjoys working with experienced colleagues and the different challenges the position brings. Pushing Firth & Scott Insurance Brokers Ltd forwards, whilst maintaining high standards of service and care, with good old fashioned values, is his target.
